Global Education and Tourism Group Limited, trading as: Global Student Services (GSS), was incorporated as a company in 2001 in New South Wales, Australia. GSS head office is based in Suite 8, Level 4 of 377-383 Sussex Street, Sydney, Australia.

GSS business is involved in tourism services and educational consultations which has grown over the years and is expanding its business to other countries such as China, Thailand, Korea and many others.
 

GSS specialises in assisting overseas students to enrol in courses, to find accommodation in Australia and to provide professional training programs for overseas clients. GSS has continuously placed thousands of overseas students to the top famous institutes in all over Australia including universities, TAFE, Vocational Institutes, High Schools and English language schools. These relationships are considered to be the foundation of GSS’s business.
 

In 2012 GSS was reappointed as a Promoter for TAFE. Through this partnership, GSS can promote and develop TAFE courses offshore in the countries China, Korea and Thailand.
 

GSS has established strong and trusting relationships with teaching institutions throughout Australia. GSS has in place a professional development program, TESOL, a course for overseas English teachers. Also in place, other courses which recognise the qualifications of other teachers who teach other subjects such as mathematics, history and music.
 

Over a period of eight years, GSS has provided professional training to more than 1000 teachers from China and Thailand, many of whom spent time in Australia successfully obtaining the TESOL Certificate in the process. The promoting language and cultural ties between citizens of China, Thailand and Australia are through Australian home stay families.
 

A growing segment of GSS’s business is the organisation of cultural exchanges. Many countries have encouraged cultural exchange as a way for its people to gain knowledge and understanding of how things are done overseas.
 

To improve its marketing reach, GSS has set up various offices in China, Thailand and Korea, typically on a joint venture basis with a local agency. This helps GSS explain the types of educational courses available in Australia as well as reaching out to students and explaining the eligibility requirements for students wishing to study here.
