GSS Education Pty Ltd (ABN 63 162 432 135), trading as Global Student Services and GSS Education (“GSS”, “we”, “us” or “our”), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and protect personal information when you use gss.net.au or request our services.
Information we collect
We may collect your name, contact details, education and work background, study interests, preferred location, intended study dates, visa expiry date, and information you provide in an enquiry. If you choose to use particular services, we may also collect information reasonably needed to provide those services.
Please do not send passports, visa grant notices, health information, financial information or other sensitive documents through a general website form unless we specifically ask you to do so through an appropriate process.
Why we collect and use it
We use personal information to respond to enquiries; compare education options; help with course applications and enrolments where requested; arrange or refer you to related services you request; maintain records; improve our services; meet legal obligations; and send marketing only where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law.
GSS Education provides education counselling and enrolment support. We are not a registered migration agent or law practice and do not provide immigration assistance or visa advice.
Who we may share it with
We may disclose relevant information to education providers, accommodation or transport providers, insurance providers or representatives, independent translators, technology and communications providers, professional advisers, regulators, and others where required by law. We only do this where necessary for the service you request, where you authorise us, or where the law permits.
GSS operates in Australia and Thailand. Information may be handled by staff or service providers outside Australia, including in Thailand. Before we disclose information for a specific service, we will take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it appropriately.
Marketing
We will send marketing communications when you have opted in or where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us.
Cookies and website analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies needed for the website to operate and to understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. If we introduce non-essential analytics, advertising or third-party tracking, we will provide suitable notice and choices before using them where required.
Security and retention
